Lady Indians destroy Eagles at Washington and Lee
After two weeks off for snow cancellations, there had to be some questions in the minds of the Northumberland coaching staff on Monday at Washington & Lee.
Those questions were soon answered in the affirmative as the Lady Indians took apart the Lady Eagles 62-34. Northumberland Coach Lewis Howard called his team’s performance “a game to get ready for the rest of the district. After two weeks off, we were kind of rusty, but we’ll get it together.”
If the Northumberland girls’ performance was indeed rusty, then the Lady Indians served notice that they’re in the district to win it.
