Family lawsuit against county moves to federal district court
An allegation of violating the federal statute allows defendants to remove the case from local court to the federal district court in Richmond.
That is exactly what the defendants in a lawsuit against Northumberland County school personnel and other officials have done. Claiming emotional distress and other unspecified damages, a teenaged girl and her parents sued Derek Jones, who is in prison for molesting the girl, Sheriff C.A.
