Northumberland gets ‘WISE’ by making top 100 list

Across the country 34 states’ schools have courses in financial literacy encouraged by the New York based “Working in Support of Education.” (WISE) Last week the organization released the names of the 100 schools that performed best on its test of students’ financial literacy. Northumberland County’s high school came in 30th and ahead of all but five of the other 28 Virginia school systems who took up almost a third of the top 100 list.
