An electric celebration at Quinton Oaks

The 12th annual Northern Neck Electric Cooperative employee sponsored golf tournament was held at the Quinton Oaks Golf Course Callao, VA. Northern Neck Electric Cooperative is a non-profit, community oriented company based in Warsaw.

The event was hosted by Cooperative Helping Hands which donates the $280.00 four person team entry fees to local charities and the fees included green fee, golf cart, a gift pack, lunch, door prizes and awards.

The event held registration at 11 a.m. with lunch at noon and  golf began in earnest at 1 p.m.

Lunch included hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ, coleslaw, baked beans, chips and dessert. During a round of golf, all beverages were free.

On hand were 72 golfers broken into three teams called ‘flights” matched up by the golfer’s ‘handicap’ which is a figure is arrived at by how historically close to par the golfers play with par being the average strokes…
