To reach 100 years old is a feat in itself, but Rosella Tolley has impressed everyone with how she got there.
The Orchard held a surprise birthday party for the century-old pride and joy of Lewisetta on Jan. 17. Surrounded by her friends and family, Rosella was humbled by “the outpouring of friendship.”
“There’s no place I’d rather be,” she said. “Everyone is just so wonderful.”
Her grandson, Vermont resident Tyler Westbrook, said it was amazing to see his grandmother “in such wonderful shape” after a century of living.
Rosella said she occasionally uses a cane while keeping her mind and body in shape through frequent walks and crossword puzzles.
