Gospel on the Green asks ‘What Would Puppets Do?’
Bethany Baptist Church in Callao hosted their 13th annual Gospel on the Green this past Saturday afternoon.
With the styles of music ranging as much as the colors of fall, Bethany Baptist Church in Callao hosted their 13th annual Gospel on the Green Saturday afternoon.
Ricky Wilkins, the WWPD puppet team, special guests Amy Ladd and Friends from Mechanicsville, Tameka Gray and The Marks Brothers with Jack France and Taylor Dawson performed by the pond throughout the afternoon.
The WWPD team (What Would Puppets Do?) from Bethel Baptist Church in Midlothian provided “Righteous Pop Music,” familiar tunes re-worked with Christian lyrics, to a crowd captivated by both the music and visual effects.
There was plenty of food available (barbecue, soups, desserts and cold drinks) and door prizes of CD’s and mums given out all afternoon.
The children were delighted with the new playground to enjoy, along with fishing in the pond and games to play on the grass. A big tent was available to sit under, enjoy the music and fellowship with the neighbors and friends. Thanks go out to the folks at Bethany for providing a delightful afternoon for young and old alike.
