Scott helps to raise LHS name
Joey Scott simply wanted a shirt when speaking with the head football coach during the summer. Now his request has opened the door to bringing Lancaster
Joey Scott, a graduate of Lancaster High School, played a huge role in promoting Lancaster athletics using technology in the fall season.
extracurricular activities to the forefront of the digital age.
With web tools such as Twitter and HS Game Center, Scott has used these tools to attract fans and followers to following Lancaster High School athletics and more.
“I think we’ve been able to increase school spirit and the kids are pretty excited,” Scott said.
Scott, who is a 1996 graduate of Lancaster, said he accepted a teaching position a few years ago with the school division economics, web design, and business and finance. But during this past summer was where the ideas to increase school spirit took off.
Interested in having a Lancaster shirt, Scott asked first year head coach Damien Crissey about obtaining one. Crissey gave him one, but with the stipulation of obtaining Scott’s technological services.
