Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Chapter 11, 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia as amended that the Northumberland County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors room in the old Courthouse at 72 Monument Place in Heathsville in order to consider the following request.
1. Request by John Charles Tolbert and Susan T. Fox Trustees, owners, for a variance to Article II, Section 148-9, 10 & 11, of the Northumberland County Zoning Ordinance to allow a buildable area on Tax Map Parcel #’s 54-(7)-1 through 7. Each lot requires a variance for less than the required minimum frontage. Each lot will require differing variances for the required setbacks from the street right-of-way and from the side property lines. The property is located off Galway Drive.
Proposed requests can be viewed in the Office of Building and Zoning. (All written comments should be received by the Office of Building and Zoning prior to the Board meeting. Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board, at a meeting in the Board of Supervisors Room of the Old Courthouse in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, commencing at 7:30 P.M., will consider the following applications for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:
1. Request by Samantha Futrell, et al (V.M.R.C. #15-0203) to construct a low-profile timber groin 54 feet long and to extend an existing groin 12 feet landward from the shoreline of Hull Creek and 1194 Candy Point Road.
2. Request by Greg Pickins (V.M.R.C. #15-0194) to install 60 linear feet of armor stone breakwater and 32’ and 50’ armor stone spurs with 300 cubic yards of beach nourishment along the shoreline of Fleets Bay and Tax Map Parcel #54-(1)–54D, off Sandy Run Trail.
3. Request by Alexander Ruddock (V.M.R.C. #15-0123) to install 102 linear feet of riprap revetment channelward of an existing failing bulkhead along the shoreline of Henrys Creek and 633 Painter Point Road.
The applications requesting the proposed permits are on file in the Office of Building and Zoning at the Old Courthouse in Heathsville, VA, where all interested parties may view and inspect the projects. 1. Request by Timothy Moore, owner, for a Conditional Use Permit for a commercial aquaculture operation (rearing and harvesting of oysters) off the Coan River at 225 Riverwood Lane near Walnut Point.
