TERMS OF SALE: A non-refundable bidder’s deposit of $14,000.00 or 10% of the sale price, whichever is less, by cashier’s or certified check required at time of sale, except for the party secured by the Deed of Trust. Risk of loss is on the purchaser from date and time of auction. Balance of the purchase price must be paid by cashier’s check within 14 days from sale date. Except for Virginia Grantor tax, all settlement costs and expenses are purchaser’s responsibility. Taxes are pro-rated to the date of sale. PROPOSED AMENDMENTS
TO THE REGULATIONS
of the
POTOMAC RIVER FISHERIES
COMMISSION
June 11, 2015
Pursuant to the Potomac River Compact of 1958, as duly enacted into law by the General Assemblies of the States of Maryland and Virginia and duly ratified by the Congress of the United States of America, the Potomac River Fisheries Commission hereby proposes to amend and/or adopt regulations as follows, so as:
1. Amend Reg. I, Sec. 2(l)(1) Fish Trot Line – to modify the license fee structure, disposition of fish trot line hooks, and gear allowance.
2. Adopt Reg. I, Sec. 2(l)(3) Bowfishing (Northern Snakeheads Only) – to establish a commercial license for bowfishing for Snakeheads.
3. Adopt Reg. I, Sec. 3(f) – Unlawful to Possess Other Jurisdictional Striped Bass Tags – to make it unlawful to have other jurisdictional Striped bass tags in the Potomac River.
4 Amend Reg. II, Sec. 2(a)(4) Closed Areas for Hand Scraping – to open the portion of the Potomac River commonly known as Jones Shore for hand scraping and to discuss river wide bushel limits for all public oyster bars.
5. Amend Reg. VI, Sec. 2(b) Terms of License – to make recreational sport fishing licenses valid for 365 days from the date of purchase.
6. Amend Reg. VII, Sec. 2(a) Size Limits – to change the minimum size limit for hard crabs, except mature female crabs, to 5 ¼” all season.
7. Amend Reg. VIII, Sec. 7(d) – Identification Tags Required – to allow that all OMR identification tags can be returned for a refund prior to tags being purchased for the next year.
