Northumberland Flood Map Open House
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has released updates to the coastal flood maps for Northumberland County. If you live or work in Northumberland County, you should attend a Coastal Flood Risk Open House to learn more about your risk and updated coastal FEMA flood maps. Local, County, and FEMA officials will be available to answer questions about the maps and flood insurance.
The meeting is on August 28, 2014 at Northumberland County Elementary School (757 Academic Ln., Heathsville, VA 22473), from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the Northumberland County Board of Supervisors is seeking sealed bids to paint the exterior of the Old Northumberland County Courthouse located at 72 Monument Place, Heathsville, VA. The bid shall include all necessary tools and material specified in the bid document.
Sealed bids should be clearly marked on the outside “Painting Services” and received no later than September 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at 72 Monument PL. in the County Administrator’s Office, P.O. Box 129, Heathsville, Virginia 22473. Proposals received after this date and time and without necessary information will not be considered.
