You don’t have to wait for a fair to get fresh hand-cut french fries, and you don’t have to travel up North to get a Maine lobster roll. You can just swing by the Chum Bucket in Callao.
About a month ago, Eric Pomeroy, a New England native, opened a custom-designed food trailer and he’s serving breakfast and lunch six days a week. Each morning, he makes fried potatoes with onions and offers sandwiches with sausage, bacon and bologna. For those with a larger appetite, there’s a breakfast combo, and last week, he added sausage, biscuits and gravy.
“The most popular item on the lunch menu is definitely the lobster roll,” Pomeroy said. The lobster and the rolls come from Maine to ensure an authentic experience. The crab cake is also becoming really popular. That’s made using locally-sourced crabmeat with “little bit of this and a bit of that.”
But seafood isn’t the only reason to visit the Chum Bucket.
