How would you spend your last summer vacation before beginning college? Imagine that most of your life for the past 12 years has been occupied with school. During your senior year, you attended the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School, enthused about the curriculum in marine and biological science and serving as captain of the Blue Crab Bowl. You were a member of the Beta Club, the Chess Team, the Student Council Association, the Academic Challenge Team, President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and played volleyball and participated in soccer for the first time.
Not to mention, you were filling out endless applications and writing numerous essays to win local scholarships so that you won’t be spending a considerable number of your adult years paying back student loans.
