The Reedville Festival Chorale packed Festival Halle on its Independence Day concert Sunday afternoon.
The chorale, directed by Sharon Freude, provided more than a hour of patriotic songs that included standards and show tunes that reflect America.
The concert opened with Col. George Becket and Master Sergeant George Collins presenting the colors and the entire crowd joining in the National Anthem.
After “America” the show really started rolling with the several military services’ songs. As each service’s song was played members of the audience who had been in that branch stood. The audience applauded all the veterans.
Carole Fletcher, Cheryl Katz, Cheryl Davis, Henry Nussel and Jeanne Hickey sang solos while Jessica Guy-Haynie and David Hershiser proved accompaniment in flute and clarinet. Throughout the concert Carina Sprouse played piano with the singers.
