“Arts Alive,” the Northumberland Public Library’s fifth annual Artist Studio Tour, will take place Saturday and Sunday April 5 and 6, 2014. More than 20 talented artists from the lower Northern Neck have teamed up for this self-drive tour. Additional artist groups will display their works at three guild sites at Rice’s Hotel / Hughlett’s Tavern in Heathsville.
Ticket-holders to this premier event on the Northern Neck will be able to watch artists at work in their studios and purchase artwork created in the community. All proceeds from the tour benefit the Northumberland Public Library.
This two-day tour wends its way from Heathsville to Reedville to White Stone and Lancaster, with studios scattered at points in between. In addition to perennial favorites, there are many new studios/artists to visit this year.
