Posted on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 1:38 pm

The Indians harriers traveled to Beaverdam Park last Wednesday to participate in a quad meet. Northumberland did not field a five man team in the guy’s event but were buoyed by Justin Perez personal best time of 21:10 in the meet. They will run at Lancaster early this week in the Northern Neck District championship.

The Lady Indians field hockey team is in a holding pattern as they wait for the seeding in regional playoffs beginning this week. JV Coach Mac Magerko felt the Indians would be traveling for the playoffs, possibly to last year’s state champion James Monroe in Fredericksburg or even further out to Culpeper County High School.

The Lady Indians volleyball teams, both JV and varsity closed out their regular season games with wins last week. The JV girls took wins at W&L, 25-23 and 25-16 on Tuesday. Friday at home against Lancaster they hung on for a 25-12,17-25 and 16-14 win to close out their season.
