Other than somewhat high humidity, Saturday was a perfect day for the farmers’ market in Heathsville. Almost 50 vendors came and a crowd of people circulated through the market behind the Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern. Corinne Becker, who had fallen and broken her hip at the last market, was back and in charge of the event as if nothing had happened to her.
The market featured an antique car show put on by the Antique Car Club of America.
Members brought almost every sort of automobile imaginable ranging from vintage trucks and old cars with rumble seats, to original Mustangs and Corvettes, and a Mercedes kit car that some took for a Morgan before making a close inspection.
