Dani Basye, Northumberland High School graduate and now a trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety, earned the highest score for women in the state’s Department of Public Service Javier Arana Jr. Top Trooper competition.
Basye, the daughter of Greg and Laurie Basye, grew up in Lottsburg and graduated from Northumberland High School in 2005 and Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2009.
She worked as an athletic trainer with Charles County Public Schools before moving to Texas to complete the Department of Public Safety Academy.
