Heathsville resident captures the crown

At 7:30 P.M. on Friday, June 30th the lights came up in the James Lee Center Theater in Falls Church, Virginia, and a distinguished group of women stepped forward to share a lifetime of grace, style, and accomplishment. By the end of the evening, Heathsville resident, Cheryl Brown Davis, PhD became Ms. Virginia Senior America 2017. She joined last year’s winner and personal friend, Kilmarnock resident Rebecca Tebbs Nunn, and brought the title to the Northern Neck for two consecutive years. Barbara Barron was the Runner Up and Victoria Pereira was the second Runner Up.

When asked if she had any prior pageant experience Davis immediately said no, but then laughed and confessed to having entered the Ms. Teenage Richmond Pageant in 1966, though she didn’t do very well by her own admission. This year she is currently sixty-eight years old, and she felt it was wonderful for this opportunity to coincide with her 50th high school reunion.
