Macedonia’s eighth annual women’s conference

The Women’s Ministry of Macedonia Baptist Church, Heathsville where the Rev. Linwood T. Blizzard, II is pastor will host their 8th annual “Jewels 4 Jesus” women’s conference. It will be held on September 25 and 26, at Northumberland High School, 201 Academic Lane, Heathsville. The conference theme this year is The Butterfly Experience, based on 2nd Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The conference will kick off with a Gospel Concert on Friday night September 25 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.). Featured guests are national recording artists Faithful Connection, Stellar Award Nominee Doreen Vail, Hometown Talent Wings of Praise and Songstress Geraldine Woodley. The Macedonia Baptist Church (MBC) Praise Team and MBC Praise Dancers will also be performing.
The Women’s Conference on Saturday, September 26 will begin at 8 a.m. with registration and a continental breakfast followed by praise and worship. The first Wordshop, “Becoming an Element of God’s Grace” will be taught by Minister Renee Johnson from Zion Church at Lottsburg at 9 a.m. Next Evangelist Rose Mason from Zion Baptist Church, Matthews will present Wordshop II entitled “The Cocoon Effect: I’m Coming Out.”  The closing message “I Believe I Can Fly” will be delivered by Rev. Cynthia J. Rioland, Union Branch Baptist Church, Chesterfield, Virginia. The conference will conclude with lunch.
A special morning session has also been planned for teen girls ages 11 to 17 on Saturday. The “Dare 2 Be Different” Wordshop will be presented by Minister Nicole T. Conaway, Macedonia Baptist Church, Heathsville.
