Northumberland County’s school board didn’t have far to look for a new principal at the elementary school. It selected Stephanie Saville Baker who grew up in Heathsville and went through the county school system before going on to obtain her higher degrees.
Baker was serving as the elementary school’s assistant principal when the board tapped her for the top job at a July 25 meeting.
Baker said she is “very excited” about her new position. “It’s a great school with phenomenal teachers and staff.”
