Dawson confesses to regional crimes

A routine traffic stop in Richmond County for a bad headlight ended with charges in connection to two area crimes.
According to Richmond County Sheriff Doug Bryant, the driver was stopped because his headlight was not operating properly.
The inspection was also dead on the vehicle.
“One thing led to another” and upon further inspection of the vehicle items were found that raised questions, Bryant said.
Drugs, along with checks from Henderson United Methodist Church and checks from a residence in Lancaster County were in the vehicle, he said.
