What started as a stress relief for Northern Neck native Brooke Crowther has rapidly developed into an adrenaline-pumping, success-filled passion.
Coming off of a huge third place finish in the signature TriRock Philadelphia Triathlon and a victory in the Naylor’s Beach Triathlon, Crowther feels like she has found her sport.
It was a discovery made by the 2003 Northumberland High School graduate when she and her husband Drew Kessler were getting married and she needed to take a break from wedding preparations.
She found a local triathlon near where she lives in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and decided to participate. Men and women competed against each other in the race.
