If you travel through Lottsburg anytime during the growing season, you will find Wayne and Beverly O’Bier attending the family produce stand in downtown Lottsburg.
Wayne O’Bier started the business back in the mid-1950’s and has helped with the growing, harvesting and sale of the freshly grown vegetables since he was a child. His parents, Reginald and Beatrice O’Bier, worked the farm and Wayne recalls wanting to start a produce stand. At the age of 20, O’Bier started working with the Virginia Department of Transportation and remained with them for 32 years. “The stand never closed,” O’Bier said. My parents would work the stand and when I would get off work from VDOT, I would come here and work.
