The PGA Jr. League is a game-changing opportunity for boys and girls to learn and play golf. The program brings family and friends together around fun and team golf experiences.

The Northern Neck area golf courses which include Hobbs Hole, Indian Creek, Piankatank and Quinton Oaks formed two separate divisions for competition. Players were divided by age group: those under seventeen and those under thirteen to compete against each other. Each match was nine holes of play.

Quinton Oaks in their first year of play took first place in the thirteen and under division in a very close race over the Piankatank team. Both finished with identical 5-1 records but Quinton Oaks scored 39.5 points to 37.5 for the Pianktank team. Hobbs hole finished third with a 1-5 record and 28.5 points. Indian Creek finished fourth with a 1-5 and 18.5 points scored. Coach Eddie Barnes Jr. indicated the team championship was clinched on the last match between the two top scoring teams.

Members of the Quinton Oaks “Eagle Hunters” team were Tre Booth, Mark Delano, Isaac Faulkner, Cooper Haynie, Waylon Hymes, Dezmin Palmer, Luke Sisk, Amanti Starks, and Amare Starks. The Quinton Oaks PGA Jr. Captain was Dean Sumner and the Coach was Eddie Barnes  Jr. Coach Barnes stated, “It has been a great experience.
