Northumberland County’s Republican Committee didn’t have any visiting politicians last Wednesday evening so its meeting was as heavily attended as the local Democrats last meeting when their congressional candidate appeared. In fact, there was very little political talk at all at the meeting.
Chairman John Huber reminded the committee that it would have a booth at the Aug 18 farmers market in Heathsville where campaign literature and other campaign items will be available. He also passed around a thank you note from Kahdejah Bea to whom the committee had given a scholarship as she heads off to William and Mary.
Calling Joe Self forward, Huber presented him with a plaque of appreciation for his real estate company’s donation toward the Bea scholarship.
