Reedville’s Fourth of July celebration

The Annual Fourth of July Parade and Festivities took place on Saturday, July 7, in downtown Reedville. The event was kicked off with the Firecracker 5K race.
The Patriotic Bake sale and T-shirt and Hoodie Sale was located in the Old Fellowship Hall. The Rebekah Circle of Bethany Methodist Church hosted the bake sale.
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. the fun day for kids started with face painting, homemade boat racing, bounce houses and many other fun things for the children to experience.
The Reedville Fisherman’s Museum was open for all who wanted to revisit history while many other booths; vendors and displays were available to visit.
The kids had a wide variety of events to participate in. The sack races were one of the highlights of the morning with creative face painting. A hula-hoops contest and beanbag toss were also a big attraction.
