The Regional Chapter (Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula) of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society (VAHS) is proud to host the monthly luncheon presentation on Thursday, August 15, at 11:30 a.m. The program will review the Civil Air Patrol.
The Civil Air Patrol Commander of the Fredericksburg Composite Squadron of the Virginia Wing, Major Greg Fletcher, will describe the exciting work that the Civil Air Patrol performs in Emergency Services, Cadet Programs and Aerospace Education. The Fredericksburg Composite Squadron Cadet Program is one of the largest in the Virginia Wing and has received the Quality Cadet Unit Award every year since 2011. Civil Air Patrol is a vital force that protects Americans in need by responding to disasters, preserving the values that make our country great.
The chapter continues to meet on the third Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and a presentation of informative aviation programs. Everyone interested in aviation is invited to join the members at the Pilot House Restaurant adjacent to Hummel Airport on Route 3 in Topping. Future planned programs will be announced.
