When Sharron Jones accepted the position as the head cook at the Quinton Oaks Grill, she brought with her a lifetime of experience in the food service field. Originally from Indianapolis Indiana, Jones has worked at high level restaurants including the Hyatt Regency, Holiday Inn, Marion Church and Garden Home Methodist Hospital before moving to Virginia in 2004.
She began cooking at the old Mom and Pops store in Weems and then moved on to the Alley Café for five years before moving to King Carter Golf Course in Kilmarnock for five more years until they recently closed.
Jones had developed such a reputation as a wide range cook who can handle most any menu, that the owner, Jeff Crabb of King Carter Golf Course personally recommended Jones to Dean Sumner of Quinton Oaks.
Jones has recently taken over the Quinton Oaks Grill and has received great reviews from the staff and clients at Quinton Oaks. Jones began her cooking career at a very young age and credits her mother in getting her interested in cooking.
