Christopher led Kilmarnock High School basketball team to two District Championships in three years. He was the starting first baseman on the high school baseball team that won a Championship in 1947, went on to play baseball in Chesapeake League, for six years.
He was one of the first team sponsors when Lancaster County Little League was organized and coached for over 10 years; and was first and only sponsor of Legendary Texacos Fast Pitch Softball team from 1957 to 1972.
Eades coached football at Northumberland High School from 1960-1967 with a winning percentage of 66. His record was 40 wins and 20 losses. He was undefeated in 1962 and had a 9-1 record in 1966. During that time Northumberland was District or Co-District champions for three years, there were no state championships back then.
He coached JV basketball and had a 70 percent winning percentage. He coached track from 1960-1967.
Eades was also the coach of baseball team at Northumberland High from 1960-1967; had a 60 percent win percentage, was District Champion for three years and undefeated in 1961.
He coached the Northumberland Pony League Softball team which had a 50 percent winning percentage rate each year; umpired for the Northumberland Little League and organized a midget football team in Northumberland County in 1967-1974, while principal Callao Elementary School.
He was president of the Northumberland Church League for eight years and played for the Northumberland Lions Club during that time.
