Northumberland County Deputies arrested a woman January 15, without incident.
Elizabeth A. Shelton, 29 was taken into custody at a Callao address according to the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Shelton is accused of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank on Hopkins Road in Chesterfield County.
Shelton allegedly entered the Wells Fargo branch with a note demanding money from the teller. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, Shelton exited the bank and fled on foot.
According to officials she did not display a gun and no one was injured in the robbery.
Shelton fled Chesterfield and wound up in Callao. No information was given on what ties Shelton had with Northumberland County.
On January 5, 2019, Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a stolen firearm from a residence in Reedville.
