Emergency services in Lancaster reported a possible tornado touch down in the afternoon on August 7. Minor damages to homes were reported with some limbs toppling power lines, and damage to siding and shingles. There were no reported injuries.
Across the area several reports were made of downed limbs along with other debris blocking road ways. One resident stated, “Chain saws are running and everyone is pulling together.”
Power was lost in some areas. Linemen quickly worked to restore current to the area.
This incident marks the second tornado of the year in Irvington after an EF-1 tornado was reported on April 6.
