Valedictorian, Abigail Grace Kiss, was part of the Northumberland High School athletic program playing a number of sports, including basketball, volleyball, softball, and soccer. She was also a member of the Academic Challenge Team.
While at NHS, she held offices as class president, president of the Fellowship Christian Athletes, vice-president of the Student Council Association, and Publicity Coordinator for the Senior Class. She was member of the National Beta Club at NHS.
Abigail attended the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School, where she was also valedictorian of the Class of 2018 at the Warsaw campus. She was a member of the Blue Crab Bowl Academic Competition and team captain in her senior year.
Abigail will be attending the University of Virginia in the fall majoring in Biomedical Science on the pre-med track.
Salutatorian, Khadijah Najee Bea, competed for 4 years on the Northumberland High School Varsity Cross Country team, Varsity Indoor and Outdoor Track team, and she was a member of the two-time State Championship Relay Team in 2016. She was also a member of the Academic Challenge Team.
Khadijah served as president of the National Beta Club at NHS and held positions during her four years of high school as Class and Student Council Association officer.
She attended the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School, and she also received an Associate’s Degree from the Rappahannock Community College in May 2018.
Khadijah will be attending William and Mary in the fall majoring in Chemistry and Anthropology.
Abigail and Khadijah would like to congratulate the Class of 2018 of Northumberland County High School and wish them success for the future.
