Marvin Davenport, a 22-year-old Heathsville man and longtime fugitive of the Northumberland Sheriff’s Office, was apprehended in Middlesex County, authorities said Wednesday.
According to reports from the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia State Police Tactical team and investigators from the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office executed a Search Warrant in the Wake area and, at 8 p.m., were able to take Davenport into custody without incident.
Davenport has been wanted by the sheriff’s office since September 2011 for two counts of attempted murder, two counts of robbery, larceny, assault and five charges relating to firearms. Davenport also has charges pending in Middlesex County.
Davenport is currently being held at the Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center. He was not given bond.
